This project is designed to engage scholars-teachers in making captions and descriptions in multimodal content in order to understand captioning as both a rhetorical and access move. By experimenting with captioning, participants will gain insight into why captions and descriptions matter–both as a form of access as a form of rhetoric. They will also practice making captions themselves.
